Meeting with representatives of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova on the «Cross-border cooperation framework»
Today, 19 February 2014, the representatives of the Institute for Project Development and Expertise (IDEP) met with Mr. Ghenadie Barbă, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova. The discussions started with informing the interlocutor about the mission and activity of the Institute for Project Development and Expertise (IDEP).
Later, the cross-border cooperation framework concept and the prospects for the involvement of the Council of Europe’s Office in the Republic of Moldova were presented in detail. D. Ghenadie Barbă showed himself quite interested in the project, being motivated by the multitude of problems to be solved. A special chapter of today’s discussions aimed to find some points of tangency between the current and medium term mandate of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova and the lasting aspects of the Cross-border cooperation framework.
Towards the end of today’s meeting the common tangencies of the presented draft and the mandate of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova were demarcated. It was agreed to return in the following periods to establish concrete actions to involve the representative of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova in the project discussed today.
