December 12, 2013, representatives of the Institute for Development and Expertise Project participated in the regional conference & quot; path to strengthening territorial cooperation of Eastern Partnership Program for Moldova — Ukraine & quot ;, held under the Program to promote territorial cooperation for the Eastern Partnership (Program EaPTC assistance) funded by the European Union.
The conference discussed general economic and social development issues of the Republic of Moldova and the border regions of Ukraine. Thus, the event offered local authorities and civil society organizations a platform for open talks on territorial cooperation priorities and regional development specificities in order to find common solutions to address their pressing issues.
In addition to attending the plenary sessions of the conference, representatives of IDEP Moldova held a series of bilateral meetings with partners from Chernivtsi, Vinnitsa, Odessa and the Republic of Moldova, where concrete measures for the implementation of cross-border projects, as well as enlargement mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Regional Conference also provided a good opportunity to expand and strengthen friendship, contacts and discuss further perspectives for joint actions aimed at deepening regional integration processes, including in the context of the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
